Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | East Dubuque, Illinois

Provide essential pharmaceutical care as the sole pharmacist at a newly opened retail pharmacy serving clinic patients in Galena, Illinois. This per diem assignment runs from May 26th to June 5th, offering first-shift hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will be responsible for verifying prescriptions in a low-volume environment supported by a highly experienced pharmacy technician well-versed in Pioneer software.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure the safe, efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.
• Counsel and educate patients on their medications and treatment plans.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and in line with company policies.
• Maintain inventory, manage controlled drug records, and oversee stock levels.
• Resolve patient issues and assist with clarifying third-party insurance coverage.

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proficient in using Pioneer pharmacy software is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (1st shift)
