A retail pharmacist opportunity is available for a two-week per diem assignment in Galena, Illinois, from May 26th to June 5th. This role involves providing pharmacy coverage at a newly opened location where you will be the sole pharmacist on site. The position offers Monday through Friday shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, focusing primarily on verifying prescriptions for in-house clinic patients at a low-volume pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery to all patients.
• Counsel patients on medication regimens and provide professional advice.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational policies.
• Maintain stock levels and manage controlled drug records and inventories.
• Resolve patient-related issues including clarification of third-party coverage.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Pioneer pharmacy software is preferred.
