Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Galena, Illinois

A retail pharmacy position is available in Galena, Illinois, offering per diem coverage for a two-week assignment from May 26th to June 5th. This role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a supportive environment and enjoy working independently in a low-volume setting.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 1st shift
• Galena, Illinois

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure their safe and efficient delivery to patients under the direct supervision of the manager.
• Provide counseling and advice to patients regarding their medications and regimens.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain stock, controlled drug records, and inventories accurately.
• Resolve patient issues and clarify third-party insurance coverage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, clear pharmacist license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Pioneer software is preferred, with a strong pharmacy technician supporting daily operations.
