Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Glendale, Arizona

A Per Diem retail pharmacist opportunity is available for immediate urgent backfill in Glendale, AZ. This role requires filling and dispensing prescribed medications accurately while verifying patient allergies to ensure safety. You will provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in line with established procedures.

Position Details:

• Location: Glendale, AZ
• Schedule: Wednesday and Thursday, February 25 and 26
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Staffing: 1 pharmacist and 3 technicians on-site
• System: Pioneer Rx
• Prescription volume: Under 100 per day

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Verify patient allergies before dispensing medications.
• Respond promptly and professionally to patient questions and concerns.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and pharmacy regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license registered in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience required.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent patient care.
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system preferred but not mandatory.
