Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Hamilton, Illinois

A managed pharmacy located in the southeastern corner of Iowa, near the Illinois state line, seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage for one full week. This role involves supporting a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) pharmacy managed under a 340B program, offering a rewarding chance to contribute to healthcare in a community-focused setting.

Location: Keokuk, IA
Schedule:

• Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 29
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive retail pharmacy services, including dispensing and patient counseling
• Open and close the pharmacy according to established procedures
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations
• Utilize the Datascan system by WinPharm for accurate processing and record-keeping
• Adhere to FQHC and 340B pharmacy policies and regulations to optimize program compliance

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license
• Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
• Previous supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with 340B program operations strongly preferred but not required
• Ability to manage daily pharmacy functions independently with strong attention to detail
