This full-time pharmacist role offers the unique opportunity to work both in retail and hospital inpatient pharmacy settings, located just a block apart in Harbor Beach, MI. The position is direct hire with a 25% direct hire opportunity and includes a balanced schedule of 4 days per week, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, with one weekday off and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, codes, and standards.
  • Review and monitor medication orders from physicians or authorized prescribers for accuracy, allergies, and drug interactions.
  • Prepare intravenous admixtures following standard formulas and safety protocols.
  • Provide clear, accurate information and support to both staff and patients.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the ACPE.
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Michigan.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, though willingness to learn is acceptable.
  • Proficient with pharmacy software systems; experience with Pioneer RX for retail and CPSI for hospital systems is beneficial; note that the hospital will transition to EPIC in November.
  • Ability to manage a retail volume of approximately 250 prescriptions per day, including servicing adult foster care and local long-term care facilities.

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week
  • 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • One weekday off during the week
  • Rotating weekends
