Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Helotes, Texas

This per diem opportunity supports a community-focused retail pharmacy seeking experienced pharmacists to provide reliable coverage on select dates. Candidates will receive two days of training to become familiar with the pharmacy’s operations and software before working in a fast-paced environment averaging over 275 prescriptions daily.

Location:
Boerne, TX (local travel from Helotes, TX is expected)

Schedule & Dates:

• Training: June 25 & 26
• Shifts: June 29, 30, July 1 & 2
• Shift Hours: 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
• Efficiently process high-volume electronic prescriptions (10+ orders per page)
• Counsel patients regarding medication usage and safety measures
• Oversee and ensure compliance in non-sterile practices
• Administer immunizations as required (minimal)
• Collaborate with healthcare providers on therapy adjustments and patient care
• Manage pharmacy technicians and workflow to maintain smooth operations
• Handle inventory management and process product recalls
• Ensure all regulatory requirements and standards are strictly followed
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support drive-thru and delivery operations

Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacy license is mandatory
• A minimum of 2 years’ recent pharmacy experience in a retail setting
• Ability to adapt quickly to new pharmacy software (Computer RX) – training provided
