Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Henderson, NV

Per Diem opportunity available for a Staff Pharmacist in a retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy located in Henderson, NV. This role offers the chance to work independently in a unique environment with direct patient impact, managing a daily prescription volume of 20-35 without the support of a pharmacy technician. Training will be provided prior to your first day of coverage, ensuring a smooth transition into this vital position.

Schedule:

• Monday, 6/1: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Tuesday, 6/2: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesday, 6/3: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesday, 6/10: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage daily pharmacy operations in a retail HIV/AIDS specialty setting.
• Accurately dispense 20-35 prescriptions per day, ensuring patient safety and medication integrity.
• Maintain strong communication with patients and healthcare providers to support optimal patient care.
• Provide patient counseling, including detailed medication guidance and support.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software effectively to manage prescriptions and documentation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Nevada pharmacist license.
• Experience working in retail pharmacy environments preferred; specialty pharmacy experience a plus.
• Ability to manage pharmacy operations without a technician present.
• Strong communication skills with both patients and providers.
