Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Ithaca, New York

This opportunity is for two licensed pharmacists to work in a retail pharmacy setting located in Johnson City, upstate New York. These contract positions start immediately and are expected to continue for a minimum of 13 weeks, providing valuable short-term experience within a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and accurately fill prescription medications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Supervise and provide oversight to pharmacy technicians ensuring quality and safety standards are met
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues and optimize patient care

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist license required
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred for efficient workflow management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient counseling
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining pharmacy compliance and safety protocols
