A retail pharmacist opportunity is available with a well-established health system in the Klamath Falls, OR area. This role focuses on outpatient pharmacy services, providing comprehensive care to patients through prescription verification, dispensing, and counseling.

Location:

  • Klamath Falls, Oregon (with floating responsibilities to nearby sites within approximately 5 miles)

Work Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
  • Monday to Friday: 7:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:15 PM
  • Some Saturdays included
  • Float coverage to various retail pharmacy locations in the health system

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verifying and filling prescriptions in a timely manner
  • Supervising and providing guidance to pharmacy technicians
  • Counseling patients on prescription and OTC medication usage, safety, and interactions
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and health system policies
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Active Oregon pharmacy license
  • Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
  • Availability to work full-time hours including weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Contract Details:

  • Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
  • Retail/outpatient focus with floating between multiple nearby sites
