Retail Staff Pharmacist in Knox, IN

A retail pharmacist position is available to provide essential pharmaceutical services within a community pharmacy setting. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in order processing, and strict adherence to security protocols.

Location: Knox, IN (Winamac area)

Position Type: Contract, with ongoing coverage starting June 29th until a permanent hire is selected
Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Three days of training/orientation required prior to starting

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions
• Verify technician-prepared products before release to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Enter orders and patient information accurately into the system
• Uphold professional and regulatory standards within the retail pharmacy environment

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Active Indiana pharmacist license
• Retail pharmacy experience required
• Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
