Retail Staff Pharmacist in Knox, IN

A dedicated Indiana Licensed Pharmacist is needed to provide professional pharmacy services at a retail community pharmacy setting. This contract position requires a knowledgeable individual who can ensure accurate order fulfillment and maintain pharmacy security while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Filling prescriptions accurately and verifying technician-prepared products before release
• Maintaining the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Entering patient information and orders accurately using the PioneerRx system (experience preferred)
• Supporting retail pharmacy operations with a focus on compliance and patient safety
• Participating in a 3-day training/orientation prior to assuming full responsibilities

Qualified candidates should have:

• An active Indiana pharmacist license
• Retail pharmacy experience, preferably with proficiency in PioneerRx
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Availability for the specified coverage hours

Schedule and Location:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM weekend coverage
• Located in Knox, Indiana, serving a community retail pharmacy environment
• Local candidates only due to onsite training and coverage requirements

Dress code is business casual to maintain a professional environment while ensuring comfort during long shifts.

This contract opportunity begins June 29th and will continue on an ongoing basis until a permanent pharmacist is hired.
