Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Knox, Indiana

A contract position is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide essential coverage at a community retail pharmacy. This role requires dedication to maintaining high standards of medication safety, patient care, and operational accuracy within a supportive pharmacy setting.

Location: Knox, IN (Winamac area)
Schedule:

• 4-5 days per week (32-40 hours)
• Preferred coverage includes Thursdays and Fridays weekly
• Every other week includes Saturday coverage
• Weekday hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday hours (every other week): 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescription orders and verify technician-prepared products before release
• Maintain security and compliance regarding pharmacy operations and controlled substances
• Ensure accurate entry of orders and patient information into the pharmacy system
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to deliver quality patient care

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Indiana
• Experience in retail pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This contract position offers a consistent schedule with a supportive environment where professional skills in retail pharmacy practice are highly valued. Candidates willing to provide flexible coverage including Saturday shifts every other week will be preferred.
