A healthcare provider in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacist for a contract assignment with immediate start. This role supports the pharmacy’s infusion services, with potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. Retail Pharmacists will also be considered for contract work while the infusion pharmacist search continues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies to ensure accuracy and patient safety
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications according to protocol
- Ensure compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards for sterile compounding and hazardous drugs
- Provide clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy team members to maintain smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance standards
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina, in good standing
- Recent experience with infusion or home infusion pharmacy services
- Strong expertise in sterile compounding and adherence to USP <797> and <800> guidelines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to evolving demands
Schedule:
- Per diem, with additional dates likely a few days each week (to be confirmed)
