Retail Staff Pharmacist in Loveland, OH

A healthcare facility in need of a licensed Ohio pharmacist with hospital experience seeks a qualified professional to provide expert pharmaceutical care. This role involves medication management, patient counseling, and coordinating pharmacy operations to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with periodic weekend coverage every sixth week, followed by corresponding days off during the week. This is a contract opportunity starting June 1st.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and pharmacy regulations.
• Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Participate in emergency drug therapy management and ensure medication supply readiness.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of pharmacy technicians to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited U.S. pharmacy school.
• Active, valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
• Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every 6th weekend coverage with corresponding weekday off
