Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Mason, Ohio

A hospital-based pharmacist position is available with a healthcare facility located in Lancaster, Ohio. This contract opportunity begins June 1st and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every 6th weekend coverage (subsequent days off during the week).

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy for therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness, including consideration of patient age.
• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and quality programs in compliance with pharmacy practice regulations.
• Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Assist in emergency drug therapy management, including preparation and supply assurance.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of pharmacy technicians to meet patient and departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy required.
• Current Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing is mandatory.
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff, patients, and team members.
