A growing healthcare facility is seeking a skilled pharmacist with hospital experience and a valid Ohio pharmacy license to join their team on a contract basis starting June 1st. This role supports patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing critical drug information, and overseeing pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with every 6th weekend coverage (with subsequent weekdays off), providing a balance of routine hours alongside opportunities for rewarding weekend service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, process, and dispense medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies, adjusting regimens as necessary based on clinical effectiveness and patient needs.
  • Maintain pharmacy policies, quality programs, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate medication information clearly to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate actively in emergency drug therapy management, including medication preparation and support.
  • Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technician activities to meet departmental goals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
