A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available starting June 1st, offering a structured schedule Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with coverage required every sixth weekend (subsequent days off during the week). This contract position requires a pharmacist licensed in Ohio with hospital pharmacy experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions
- Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness and safety, tailoring regimens to individual patient needs
- Maintain adherence to departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory standards
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Participate in emergency drug therapy management, including preparation and consultation
- Oversee daily pharmacy technician activities to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited American College of Pharmacy Education
- Valid Ohio pharmacy license in good standing
- Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with medical staff, patients, and team members
