Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Mesa, AZ

A leading pharmacy network in the greater Phoenix area is seeking experienced retail pharmacists to build a strong per diem team in preparation for upcoming seasonal demands, including graduations, summer vacations, and holidays. This opportunity focuses on providing vital coverage to support a high-volume retail pharmacy operation within a food and pharmacy environment.

Location: Mesa, AZ (multiple locations within commutable distance; some travel required)

Job Type: Per Diem, part-time (2-4 days per week availability preferred)
Schedule: Mon - Sat, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some locations closing at 8:00 p.m.
Average Prescription Volume: 100 - 125 daily

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate dispensing and counseling services in a high-volume retail pharmacy
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and manage pharmacist-only sites as needed
• Complete mandatory training sessions to familiarize with QS1 software and operational protocols
• Maintain immunization privileges and uphold BLS certification for patient safety
• Cover shifts as needed for call-outs, vacations, or volume spikes while contributing to high-quality patient care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience, with preference given to candidates holding 5+ years for higher compensation
• Proficient in immunization delivery and current BLS certification
• Prior experience with QS1 is a plus, expediting training time
• Ability to work independently, especially in pharmacist-only store settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
