A retail pharmacy team is seeking experienced per diem pharmacists to support busy locations in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists interested in part-time work with flexible scheduling to cover peak times such as graduations, summer vacations, and holiday seasons.
Located in Mesa, AZ, these pharmacies serve customers in a food and pharmacy setting with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125. Operating hours are typically Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations extending to 8 p.m. While specific shifts cannot be guaranteed, the goal is to build a reliable 2-3 pharmacist team ready to cover call outs, vacations, or spikes in volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a retail setting.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and customers to ensure high-quality service.
- Participate in training sessions designed to prepare for work at pharmacist-only sites and smaller stores.
- Administer immunizations and maintain compliance with BLS certification requirements.
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy software to manage workflow effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred for higher compensation.
- Immunization privileges and current BLS card required.
- Familiarity with QS1 software is beneficial.
- Ability to work part-time, covering 2-4 days per week as needed.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the region.
