Join a dynamic retail pharmacy team serving a community grocery store within a well-established health system in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The position is primarily based in a Lowe’s Signature Market pharmacy with occasional coverage needed at a secondary location, providing variety and teamwork flexibility.

Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks or longer (shorter contracts considered)
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Closed weekends and six major holidays at the primary location
- Occasional weekend shifts at the secondary location may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders following all protocols
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient medication profiles
- Supervise, direct, and verify daily activities of pharmacy technician staff
- Participate in medical emergency response as a pharmacy team member
- Conduct medication storage inspections and manage outdated stock removal
- Orient and train new pharmacy staff as needed
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Mexico Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Disclose all active and inactive pharmacy licenses for verification
- Minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification or readiness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability and willingness to cover shifts at both primary and secondary retail locations, including occasional weekends
- Strong patient counseling and medication dispensing skills
- Comfortable supervising pharmacy technicians and adapting to dynamic environments
