Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Milford, Ohio

A healthcare facility seeks a licensed Ohio pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical services within a hospital setting. This contract role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, with weekend coverage provided every sixth week, delivering a blend of routine hours and occasional extended coverage to support patient care.

Location:

• Lancaster, OH (Milford, OH candidate relocation or commute options considered)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every 6th weekend coverage with subsequent weekdays off

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, interpret, process, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, including age-specific considerations.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and pharmacy practice regulations.
• Communicate drug information effectively to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Respond to medical emergencies by contributing to drug therapy management and ensuring medication availability.
• Coordinate daily activities of pharmacy technicians to optimize patient and organizational outcomes.
• Emphasize stewardship, safety, teamwork, and quality improvement aligned with organizational mission and service values.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree accredited by an American Colleges of Pharmacy Education institution.
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing is mandatory.
