This opportunity is for a Retail Staff Pharmacist position within a well-established regional grocery store pharmacy in Minnesota. The role offers an ongoing contract with the potential for temp-to-hire, aiming to bring on a permanent pharmacist who can contribute to a busy and supportive retail pharmacy team.
Schedule and Hours:
- Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- 40 hours per week with some flexibility for relief coverage
- Monday is the busiest day, so comfort with higher volume is important
Pharmacy Environment:
- Average prescription volume of approximately 600 per week
- Strong technician support and a collaborative team setting
- Recently installed advanced robotic dispensing system
- Utilizes the EnterpriseRx order entry system
- Not a solo operation—offers a well-supported work environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws
- Provide thorough patient counseling and medication education
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and staff to maintain workflow
- Manage moderate prescription volumes with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain clear, professional communication with patients and healthcare providers
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Experience in retail pharmacy essential
- Familiarity with EnterpriseRx preferred or willingness to learn quickly
- Minnesota Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain is required
- Strong patient communication skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, consistent, and interested in long-term commitment
- Comfortable working in a moderate to high-volume environment
- Open to ongoing contract or permanent placement
