Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Monterey, California

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist with retail experience, available for night shifts at a community hospital with an outpatient retail pharmacy. The facility has 250 beds and requires an independent night pharmacist supported by one pharmacy technician.

Location: Salinas, CA

Schedule:

• Night shifts (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 7 days on, 7 days off

Contract Duration: 13 weeks+

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all pharmacy operations during night shifts independently
• Dispense medications accurately and safely to meet patient needs
• Utilize PioneerRX extensively, with EPIC experience considered a bonus
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Collaborate remotely with healthcare team members as needed during night hours

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Strong retail pharmacy background, preferably in a hospital outpatient setting
• Proven experience with PioneerRX software; EPIC familiarity is advantageous
• Full-time availability with willingness to work night shifts
• BLS certification

Additional Information:

• This is a contract position requiring a reliable candidate prepared for an ASAP start
• Candidates will be the sole pharmacist on duty overnight (supported by one technician)
