Apply NowThis per diem opportunity seeks experienced retail pharmacists to join a versatile team supporting multiple community pharmacies in the Tucson area. These pharmacy locations operate within food and pharmacy settings, offering a dynamic environment serving diverse patient needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care during shifts, supporting medication dispensing, counseling, and immunization services.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and technicians to maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service.
- Complete mandated training sessions, including a dedicated 8-hour training shift, to ensure readiness across multiple pharmacy sites.
- Be prepared to cover for call-outs, vacations, or volume fluctuations, working 2-4 days per week as needed.
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy software to document and manage prescriptions.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience required.
- Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) card mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort working in pharmacist-only environments, necessitating proactive problem-solving and self-reliance.
Schedule/Hours:
- Typically Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Some pharmacies may extend hours to 8:00 p.m.
- Per diem, with flexible scheduling based on pharmacy needs.
