Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Mount Sterling, Illinois

A permanent opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to work within a retail setting in Sterling, IL. This role involves ensuring the accurate evaluation, preparation, and dispensing of medications in compliance with professional standards and legal requirements. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and dispense prescribed medications following facility protocols and state and federal regulations.
• Perform medication reconciliation processes when possible to support a seamless continuum of care for patients during discharge.
• Provide excellent customer service and deliver high-quality clinical care.
• Consult with patients on medication usage, including dosage, frequency, specialized needs, and potential drug interactions.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Holds a current Illinois Pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient education and customer service.
