Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Nantucket, Massachusetts

This opportunity is for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to support an outpatient/retail pharmacy located on Nantucket, MA. This pharmacy is attached to a hospital, providing a unique blend of retail and clinical pharmacy services. The role begins in early October and is expected to last approximately 13 weeks.

The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday with day shifts. The schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts per week, with operating hours between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. This position offers a chance to maintain essential pharmacy services while covering a temporary vacancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions following all state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and proper storage.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication regimens.
• Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRX system to manage prescription workflow and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license.
• Proven retail pharmacy experience, preferably in an outpatient or hospital-affiliated setting.
• Full-time availability to cover the assigned schedule.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-focused attitude.
• Familiarity with McKesson EnterpriseRX is a plus but not mandatory.
