A clinical pharmacist position is available that combines inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in a hybrid role. The pharmacist will be responsible for managing medication dispensing operations, including automated dispensing cabinets at two hospital sites, and initiating daily cart fills. The role may also involve floating to the retail pharmacy for dispensing duties, providing a diverse and dynamic work environment.
Location: Newark, Delaware
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth operation of medication distribution via automated dispensing cabinets at multiple hospital locations
- Initiate and oversee daily medication cart fills to support clinical staff
- Perform dispensing duties within the retail pharmacy as required
- Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell to manage medication records and workflows
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Pharm.D. degree or B.S. Pharmacy with equivalent relevant clinical experience
- Active Delaware pharmacist license in hand (required)
- Prior experience in both hospital inpatient/outpatient pharmacy settings is highly beneficial
- Strong familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
- Clinical knowledge and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
