An established retail pharmacy operation in the greater Tucson area is assembling a team of 2-3 experienced pharmacists for per diem roles. This opportunity involves working across multiple pharmacy locations, providing essential support during call-outs, vacations, and periods of increased prescription volume.

Location: Tucson, AZ area
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Flexible to cover 2-4 days per week, with shifts typically Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (some locations may close at 8:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional pharmaceutical care and services in retail pharmacy settings
  • Manage prescription processing for an average daily volume of 100-125 prescriptions
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and support staff; adapt to pharmacist-only sites as needed
  • Participate in an 8-hour dedicated training shift on QS1 pharmacy software, with additional training opportunities available
  • Maintain compliance with immunization procedures and emergency protocols by holding valid immunization privileges and BLS certification

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Current immunization privileges and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Competence in pharmacy software systems, with training on QS1 provided
