Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Oracle, Arizona

This opportunity seeks experienced retail pharmacists to join a per diem team serving multiple pharmacies in Oracle and Tucson, AZ. The goal is to build a flexible 2-3 pharmacist team to cover call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes across several pharmacy locations operating within a food and pharmacy retail setting.

Location: Oracle and Tucson, Arizona area

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours typically Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (some locations may close at 8:00 PM)
• Ideal candidates will be available 2-4 days per week to support fluctuating staffing needs
• Shifts vary and are not guaranteed; coverage is primarily for relief purposes

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and counsel patients accurately in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Provide immunizations and maintain immunization privileges
• Collaborate with pharmacy teams; some sites are pharmacist-only and require careful workflow management
• Utilize QS1 system for dispensing and record-keeping
• Participate in initial 8-hour training session and ongoing training as needed to ensure readiness across all pharmacy locations
• Support team in delivering high-quality, patient-first care during high volume periods

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Immunization certification and current BLS card required
• Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125
• Strong communication skills and adaptability across multiple pharmacy settings
