Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Phoenix, Arizona

Join a dynamic pharmacy team serving a prominent food and pharmacy setting with multiple locations throughout the greater Phoenix, AZ area. We are assembling a skilled group of per diem pharmacists to provide reliable coverage during key periods including graduations, summer vacations, and holidays. This opportunity is perfect for pharmacists seeking part-time hours with 2-4 days a week to support busy stores experiencing call-outs, vacations, or volume surges.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pharmacy services in a retail setting with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125.
• Provide excellent patient care including immunizations, medication counseling, and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with technician teams; some smaller sites will require pharmacists to operate independently, highlighting the importance of thorough training.
• Utilize the QS1 system for pharmacy operations.
• Complete an 8-hour initial training shift, with additional training as needed to prepare for site-specific demands.
• Maintain immunization privileges and current BLS certification.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in retail pharmacy; preference given to candidates with 5+ years to maximize compensation.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, often autonomously, in a fast-paced environment.
• Immunization privilege and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is a plus to reduce training time.

Schedule & Location:

• Per diem role with shifts primarily Monday through Saturday, typically from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some locations open until 8:00 p.m.
• Stores are generally commutable from Phoenix, AZ, with travel reimbursement available for longer distances including mileage, meals, and lodging when applicable.
