An opportunity is available for an experienced Retail/Chronic Care Staff Pharmacist to join a growing hospital team in Red Oak, Iowa (approximately one hour from Omaha, NE). This position supports the launch and development of a specialized Chronic Illness and Pain Management Pharmacy within an outpatient and retail setting.

This role offers the chance to play a vital part in shaping a new pharmacy service, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment focused on chronic disease management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and launch of the Chronic Care/Pain Management Pharmacy
  • Deliver retail and outpatient pharmacy services with an emphasis on patient safety and medication therapy optimization
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and care teams to enhance medication regimens
  • Provide thorough patient counseling focused on chronic illness management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
  • Participate in initiatives to improve workflow and pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Iowa
  • Experience in retail and/or outpatient pharmacy practice
  • Ambulatory care experience strongly preferred
  • Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) is highly desirable
  • Clinical expertise related to chronic illness and pain management advantageous
  • Comfortable and adaptable to a rural or small-town setting
  • Open to local candidates or those willing to relocate for long-term career growth

Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
