A growing healthcare organization in a rural community near Red Oak, Iowa, is seeking an experienced Retail/Chronic Care Staff Pharmacist. This role offers a rewarding chance to help launch and develop a specialized Chronic Illness & Pain Management Pharmacy within an outpatient and retail setting. Location:
Red Oak, Iowa (approximately 1 hour from Omaha, NE)
Schedule:
- Day Shift
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a Chronic Care/Pain Management Pharmacy program
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and retail pharmacy services with an emphasis on chronic disease management
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
- Deliver patient-centered counseling tailored to chronic illness and pain management needs
- Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols
- Assist in enhancing pharmacy workflows and operational efficiencies
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure
- Retail and/or outpatient pharmacy experience required
- Ambulatory care experience strongly preferred
- Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge in chronic disease and pain management beneficial
- Willingness to work in and commit to a rural/small-town setting
- Local candidates or those open to relocation for long-term growth encouraged to apply
Technology:
- Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems
- Familiarity with ScriptPro automation technology
