Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Rensselaer, Indiana

A retail pharmacist position is available to provide essential pharmacy services in a community hospital setting. This role requires dedication to accuracy, patient safety, and effective collaboration within a healthcare team.

• Winamac, Indiana
• Facility operates a community hospital pharmacy

Schedule:

• 4 to 5 days per week (32-40 hours/week)
• Weekday hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, preferred coverage on Thursdays and Fridays
• Weekend hours: Every other Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescription orders
• Review technician-prepared products before release to patients
• Maintain pharmacy security and control access to controlled substances
• Enter orders and patient information with precision using the PioneerRx system (experience preferred)
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Indiana Pharmacist license required
• Retail pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Proficient in order entry systems, PioneerRx experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
