Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Rillito, Arizona

A well-established pharmacy group operating numerous locations throughout the greater Tucson area is currently building a dedicated per diem pharmacist team. This opportunity is ideal for experienced retail pharmacists seeking a flexible role supporting multiple pharmacy sites, covering absences, vacations, and handling volume fluctuations.

Location: Tucson, AZ (multiple pharmacy sites including Rillito area)
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Flexible, typically Mon-Sat from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (some locations until 8:00 PM)
Shift Availability: Part-time, 2-4 days per week preferred to ensure coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services in retail settings with average daily prescription volumes ranging from 100-125
• Support a team of pharmacists across multiple pharmacy locations, including some smaller “pharmacist only” sites requiring independent work
• Administer immunizations and maintain compliance with BLS certification
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy management system efficiently
• Participate in dedicated training sessions to become familiar with site-specific procedures and workflow

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred, with strong patient care and communication skills
• Immunization privilege and current BLS certification required
• Flexibility to cover various shifts on short notice and provide high-quality support during peak times
• Ability to work independently in pharmacist-only pharmacies and collaborate effectively with technician teams at larger sites

Training and Development:

• Initial paid 8-hour training shift provided, plus additional training available to ensure confidence and readiness across all sites
