Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Sacramento, California

Urgent need for per diem pharmacists to support growing demand in Northern California. We are expanding our team with 6-8 skilled retail pharmacists, primarily in Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern CA regions.

Location: Sacramento, CA (with opportunities nearby in Bay Area/North Bay and Northern California - Redding, Chico)
Job Type: Per Diem

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services including dispensing medications and counseling patients
• Open and close the pharmacy efficiently
• Manage pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for daily pharmacy operations
• Travel as needed to various store locations within assigned region

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience required
• Comfortable with pharmacy opening and closing procedures
• Experience in supervising and managing pharmacy technicians
• Willingness to commute locally and cover shifts as requested
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Schedule:

• Per diem coverage, typically 1-2 shifts per week based on operational needs
• Flexibility to accept shifts in multiple Northern California locations

• Mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
