Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Sahuarita, AZ

A retail pharmacy team is being assembled to provide per diem coverage for several pharmacies in the Tucson, AZ area. The focus is supporting established, food and pharmacy store locations that require skilled pharmacists to cover call outs, vacations, and volume spikes.

Location:

• Tucson area pharmacies including multiple locations operating Monday through Saturday, typically from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some pharmacies open until 8 p.m.

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem availability is essential.
• Ideal candidates are part-time pharmacists available 2-4 days per week to assist as needed.
• Shifts are not guaranteed but provide valuable flexible work opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions with accuracy and excellent patient service.
• Collaborate with strong technician teams; some smaller sites require pharmacist-only coverage.
• Participate in training sessions prior to onboarding with at least one 8-hour training shift scheduled, additional training available.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy system efficiently for daily operations.
• Maintain compliance with immunization delivery and emergency protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail setting.
• Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required.
• Ability to adapt to varying pharmacy environments including both team-supported and pharmacist-only stores.
• Experience with QS1 or willingness to quickly learn the system.
