A growing retail pharmacy team in the Tucson, AZ area is seeking experienced staff pharmacists to provide reliable per diem coverage. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule supporting multiple locations, designed for pharmacists interested in part-time work (2-4 days per week) who can assist with call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes.

Work Locations – Tucson-area pharmacies:

  • Several sites operated within food and pharmacy settings, including Bashas’ and Food City stores.
  • Pharmacy hours typically run Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, with some locations extending to 8 PM.
  • Average daily prescription volume ranges from 100 to 125.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a retail setting.
  • Manage prescription dispensing accurately and efficiently.
  • Engage in training to ensure readiness across multiple pharmacist-only or technician-supported locations.
  • Utilize QS1 pharmacy system in daily operations.
  • Maintain certification for immunizations and BLS to support patient care.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Current immunization privileges and valid BLS certification required.
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained across various sites.
  • Ability to handle workload independently, especially in pharmacist-only locations.
