Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Salinas, California

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to provide dedicated night shift coverage at a 250-bed community hospital with an outpatient retail pharmacy attached. As the sole pharmacist on nights, you will collaborate closely with a pharmacy technician to ensure safe and effective medication management during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of retail pharmacy operations during night shifts
• Review prescriptions, verify dosing, and counsel patients as needed
• Utilize PioneerRX pharmacy system extensively; EPIC experience is a plus
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Coordinate with healthcare providers for medication-related inquiries or issues

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist License required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Comfortable working night shifts as the only pharmacist on site
• Full-time availability with a 7-on/7-off schedule (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy software highly preferred
• BLS Certification is mandatory
