Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Salinas, California

This opportunity offers a rewarding role for a Staff Pharmacist experienced in retail pharmacy, working night shifts at a community hospital pharmacy setting. You will be the sole pharmacist on duty during nights, collaborating with a pharmacy technician to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.

Location: Salinas, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks +)
Schedule:

• Night shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off
• Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and patient counseling during night shifts in a busy outpatient retail pharmacy attached to a 250-bed community hospital
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians to support operational efficiency and patient safety
• Utilize PioneerRX software for pharmacy workflow management; EPIC experience is a valuable plus

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Proven retail pharmacy experience, preferably within a community hospital environment
• Proficiency with PioneerRX; EPIC experience advantageous
• Availability for full-time night shift schedule
• Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist during night hours
