Retail Staff Pharmacist - Salinas, CA

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced retail pharmacist to provide nighttime pharmaceutical care in a 250-bed community hospital with an outpatient pharmacy. Operating as the sole pharmacist during night shifts, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients.

Location:

• Salinas, CA

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 7 days on and 7 days off
• Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently during night hours
• Oversee pharmacy operations independently during shifts
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow
• Utilize PioneerRX pharmacy system proficiently; EPIC experience is a plus
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Strong background in retail pharmacy practice
• Proven experience working night shifts, preferably as the sole pharmacist on duty
• Full-time availability with willingness to work 7-on, 7-off night shift schedule
• Proficiency in PioneerRX system; familiarity with EPIC an asset
• Valid BLS certification
