This role offers an opportunity to work as a Staff Pharmacist within a dynamic retail pharmacy environment. The position requires an adaptable professional capable of managing responsibilities across two retail locations with occasional weekend coverage.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Closed on weekends and six major holidays at the primary location
  • Occasional weekend shifts may be required at the secondary location

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing, or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive licenses required
  • Minimum of one year as a registered pharmacist preferred
  • APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification required or willing to obtain within 30 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to cover shifts at the secondary retail location, including occasional weekends

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced retail pharmacist with familiarity in community grocery store pharmacy settings
  • Strong patient counseling and medication dispensing skills
  • Capable of supervising and directing pharmacy technician staff effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to work across primary and secondary retail locations
  • Open to travel commitments and available for contracts of 13 weeks or longer (shorter contracts considered)
  • Immunization certified or willing to become certified promptly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and dispense medication orders accurately and in compliance with all protocols
  • Maintain precise patient medication profiles
  • Supervise, direct, and verify daily activities of pharmacy technicians
  • Participate in medical emergency responses as part of the pharmacy team
  • Conduct medication storage area inspections and identify outdated medications
  • Orient and train new team members as necessary
