Retail Staff Pharmacist in Santa Fe, NM

A retail pharmacy role is open for a Staff Pharmacist position in the Los Alamos, NM area. This opportunity offers flexible day shifts aligned with store hours, with potential start times at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, including rotating weekends.

• Los Alamos, NM

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible day shift starting at 8:30 or 9:30 AM
• Pharmacy hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy technicians efficiently
• Deliver exceptional customer service and patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 Non-Sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding)
• Manage high prescription volume, approximately 600 prescriptions per day
• Work with Pioneer pharmacy system

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License required
• Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus
• Background in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting is beneficial
• Open to new graduates eager to grow

Compensation details:

• Competitive pay ranging from $60 to $67 hourly
• Higher internal pay rates available upon permanent placement

This role is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to permanent status. Candidates should have a readiness to handle a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to flexible work hours.
