A retail pharmacist role is available in Los Alamos, NM, offering a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and pharmacy operations. This contract-to-hire opportunity requires flexibility with shift start times at 8:30 or 9:30 AM within pharmacy hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, plus rotating Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pharmacy operates on the Pioneer system and is notably busy, filling approximately 600 prescriptions daily.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding involved)
• Maintain accuracy and compliance in a high-volume retail setting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist license required
• Experience or familiarity with non-sterile compounding preferred
• Background in a high-volume pharmacy environment is advantageous
• Open to recent pharmacy graduates eager to develop their skills
