Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Santa Fe, New Mexico

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available in Los Alamos, NM, offering a contract-to-hire position with a flexible day shift schedule. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment supporting community health.

Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy technicians, delivering outstanding customer service, and providing patient counseling. You will verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only; no compounding required) in a busy pharmacy processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm, with rotating weekends. The pharmacy system used is Pioneer.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear NM Pharmacist License
• Experience or familiarity with non-sterile compounding is beneficial
• Background working in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting is a plus
• Open to newly graduated pharmacists ready to take on new challenges

• Flexible shift start times at 8:30 am or 9:30 am
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 6:30 pm
