Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Scales Mound, IL

Provide pharmacy services as the sole pharmacist in a newly opened retail location, focusing on verifying prescriptions for in-house clinic patients. This per diem opportunity runs from May 26th to June 5th, offering consistent Monday through Friday first-shift hours in a supportive environment with an experienced pharmacy technician proficient in Pioneer software.

Location: Scales Mound, IL
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• First shift

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure the safe, efficient delivery to all customers.
• Counsel patients on medication regimens and provide detailed advice to promote proper use.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints according to company policies.
• Maintain medication stock and complete controlled substance records and inventories.
• Troubleshoot patient problems and clarify insurance or third-party coverage issues.

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail pharmacy practice.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn Pioneer pharmacy software is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a low-volume setting.
