Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Star City, Indiana

A reputable community pharmacy seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive retail pharmacy services. This contract position offers a consistent full-time schedule, supporting patient care with accuracy and professionalism. The role involves ensuring the safe preparation and dispensing of medications, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Filling and verifying technician-prepared prescriptions prior to release
• Maintaining security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Accurately entering orders and patient information using PioneerRx (preferred)
• Collaborating with staff to deliver exceptional pharmacy services
• Participating in a 3-day training and orientation program before starting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Indiana Pharmacist License
• Previous retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and security within pharmacy operations

Location and Schedule:

• Based in a community pharmacy setting in Indiana
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend coverage every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Business casual dress code is maintained on site
• Local candidates preferred for smooth onboarding and orientation
