Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Star City, Indiana

A retail pharmacy position is available for an Indiana Licensed Pharmacist at a community hospital pharmacy serving the Star City area. This contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule providing coverage Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with every other Saturday required during the same hours.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescription orders and verify technician-prepared medications prior to dispensing
• Maintain security of the pharmacy environment and controlled substances in compliance with policies
• Enter orders and patient information with precision using the PioneerRx system (experience preferred)
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality pharmaceutical care
• Participate in a 3-day orientation before starting the assignment

Qualifications:

• Must possess an active Indiana Pharmacist license
• Demonstrated retail pharmacy experience
• Proficient or willing to learn the PioneerRx order entry system
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
• Local candidates only due to on-site coverage needs

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Every other Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• The contract begins June 29th and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired
