Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

This opportunity seeks experienced retail pharmacists interested in per diem work within a vibrant food and pharmacy setting located in the Tucson, AZ area. The assignments support a network of pharmacies requiring a 2-3 pharmacist team ready to provide coverage for call outs, vacations, or increased volume periods. Pharmacists will receive dedicated training time to ensure smooth integration into the workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in retail settings with an average prescription volume of 100-125 per day.
• Maintain accurate dispensing and documentation following QS1 system protocols.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and manage pharmacist-only sites as needed.
• Administer immunizations and fulfill BLS protocol requirements.
• Participate in an 8-hour initial training shift with additional training opportunities available.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Immunization privileges and current BLS certification.
• Proficient in pharmacy operations and patient care in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work 2-4 days per week on a per diem basis, supporting pharmacy needs Monday through Saturday, generally 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations closing later.
