Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Tucson, Arizona

Per Diem Pharmacists needed to support a team serving multiple pharmacies in the Tucson area. This opportunity involves working within retail pharmacy settings located in grocery and food store environments, providing vital pharmacy services to local communities. The team will cover call-outs, vacations, and volume fluctuations, ensuring consistent, high-quality pharmacy care.

Locations include several sites throughout Tucson with typical pharmacy operating hours Monday through Saturday, generally from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m. Candidates should be available to work approximately 2-4 days per week to help maintain staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to patients
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and storage
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Perform immunizations and ensure patient safety
• Participate in training sessions to become proficient in QS1 pharmacy software and different site protocols

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1-2 years minimum experience in retail pharmacy practice preferred
• Immunization privileges required
• BLS certification mandatory
• Ability to work independently, especially at pharmacist-only sites
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to participate in training and ongoing development
