Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

An established pharmacy retailer is seeking experienced retail pharmacists to join a per diem team supporting multiple locations in the Tucson, AZ area. This opportunity involves flexible scheduling to provide coverage for call outs, vacations, and volume spikes across a network of pharmacies situated within food and pharmacy store settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Provide exceptional patient care and counseling.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy system for operations.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacy team members.
• Participate in initial and ongoing training to ensure competency across various pharmacy sites.
• Maintain compliance with immunization and BLS certification requirements.
• Adapt to varying pharmacy settings, including those that may operate as pharmacist-only sites.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Active immunization privilege.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to train and quickly adapt to multiple pharmacy locations.
• Flexibility to work 2-4 days per week with variable shift coverage as needed.

Schedule and Location:

• Pharmacy hours typically Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations closing at 8 p.m.
• Pharmacies located throughout Tucson, AZ metropolitan area.
• One 8-hour training shift provided; additional training available if needed.
