Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

A leading retail pharmacy group operating multiple locations in the Tucson, AZ area is seeking experienced retail pharmacists to form a reliable per diem team. This opportunity is ideal for licensed pharmacists looking to contribute flexibly by covering call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes across several store locations. With an average prescription volume of 100-125 per day, pharmacists will play a vital role in supporting well-established pharmacies as well as serving pharmacist-only sites that require independent proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill pharmacist duties in a busy retail pharmacy environment
• Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring excellent customer care
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to maintain smooth workflow
• Participate in mandatory training sessions, including one dedicated 8-hour training shift
• Provide immunizations and maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy system effectively in daily operations
• Cover shifts on a flexible per diem basis, primarily 2-4 days per week

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with at least 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience
• Immunization privileges and current Basic Life Support (BLS) card required
• Strong clinical and communication skills with an ability to work independently and in team settings
• Flexibility to cover multiple pharmacy locations throughout the Tucson area as needed
• Willingness to engage in training to prepare for pharmacist-only sites

Schedule/Hours:

• Pharmacy operations run Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some locations open until 8:00 PM
• Shift coverage as needed with no guarantee of minimum hours
