Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

An opportunity is available for experienced retail pharmacists in the Tucson, AZ area to join a per diem team supporting multiple community pharmacies within a well-established food and pharmacy setting. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking part-time work covering 2-4 shifts per week, assisting with coverage during call-outs, vacations, or volume surges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety
• Provide immunizations and patient counseling as needed
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff, adapting to both well-supported and pharmacist-only sites
• Complete mandatory training sessions, including an initial 8-hour shift dedicated to QS1 system training and pharmacy-specific protocols
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and protocols, including BLS certification and immunization privileges

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1-2+ years experience in retail pharmacy practice, demonstrating strong clinical and operational skills
• Immunization privileges and a current BLS card are required
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy management software preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

Schedule:

• Opportunities primarily Monday through Saturday, approximately 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations closing at 8 p.m.
• Shifts vary based on need; no guaranteed hours but consistent per diem work available
