Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Tucson, Arizona

An opportunity is available for experienced retail pharmacists to join a per diem team supporting several pharmacies in the Tucson, AZ area. This role is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible schedule to cover call outs, vacations, and volume fluctuations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care in retail settings with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff, including strong technician support at most sites, while managing independent pharmacy operations at smaller “pharmacist-only” locations.
• Participate in a comprehensive training program, including a dedicated 8-hour training shift, to ensure proficiency and readiness across assigned pharmacies.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software for dispensing and workflow management.
• Maintain immunization privileges and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to support patient care requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Valid pharmacist licensure and immunization certification.
• Current BLS card.
• Ability to commit to part-time availability, ideally 2-4 days per week.
• Flexibility to respond to schedule changes and support multiple pharmacy locations.

Schedule:

• Pharmacy operations run Monday through Saturday, generally from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some locations extending to 8:00 p.m. Shifts vary based on coverage needs.
