Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

An urgent need exists for experienced retail pharmacists to join a per diem team serving multiple pharmacy locations in the Tucson, AZ area. This position offers the opportunity to support a group of stores within a food and pharmacy environment. The goal is to build a reliable team of 2-3 pharmacists prepared to cover call-outs, vacations, and periods of increased volume.

Locations include several pharmacies throughout Tucson, with operational hours generally Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and some stores open until 8 p.m. Although scheduled hours cannot be guaranteed, ideal candidates are available to work 2-4 days per week and accommodate flexible scheduling needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Filling prescriptions and providing excellent patient care in a retail pharmacy setting
• Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and managing workflow efficiently, including pharmacist-only sites
• Participating in a focused 8-hour training shift with additional training available as needed
• Utilizing QS1 pharmacy software for daily operations
• Maintaining compliance with immunization and BLS certification requirements

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in retail pharmacy practice
• Valid immunization privileges and BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient service skills
• Ability to adapt to varying pharmacy sites and workflows
• Experience using QS1 software is preferred
