This per diem position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team supporting multiple pharmacy locations in the Tucson, AZ area. You will play a vital role in providing consistent pharmacy coverage across a network of food and pharmacy stores, helping manage call-outs, vacations, and volume fluctuations.
Location: Tucson, AZ area (multiple pharmacy sites)
Position Type: Per Diem
Schedule/Hours:
- Pharmacy hours typically Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m.
- Variable shifts based on need; ideal for pharmacists seeking 2-4 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent retail pharmacy services at one or multiple locations within the Tucson area
- Support a team of 2-3 pharmacists prepared to cover fluctuating workload and staff absences
- Complete training (at least one 8-hour shift dedicated) to ensure readiness for all sites, including pharmacist-only locations
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy software effectively during daily operations
- Work closely with pharmacy technicians and manage dispensing safely and efficiently
- Maintain immunization privileges and uphold basic life support standards
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Active immunization privileges and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience working with pharmacy software, preferably QS1
- Ability to perform independently in smaller pharmacist-only settings as well as larger stores
