Support per diem staffing needs for retail pharmacies in the Tucson, AZ area with a well-established grocery and pharmacy operation. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work (2-4 days a week) to cover call outs, vacations, and volume spikes across multiple locations.

Locations include several pharmacies in Tucson with typical hours Monday through Saturday, approximately 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., some closing at 8 p.m. Daily prescription volume ranges from 100 to 125, providing a dynamic environment with varying levels of patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently under retail pharmacy standards
  • Provide immunizations and maintain immunization privileges
  • Utilize QS1 pharmacy system for processing and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and manage pharmacist-only sites
  • Participate in an 8-hour initial training shift plus additional training as needed to ensure readiness across multiple locations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Must hold immunization privileges and current BLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced setting
  • Flexibility to cover various shifts based on pharmacy needs
