Retail Staff Pharmacist - Watsonville, CA

An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist with retail experience to provide pharmacy services during night shifts at a community hospital with an outpatient pharmacy. This 250-bed facility features a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment requiring a dedicated professional to manage overnight operations as the sole pharmacist on site, supported by a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications for inpatients and outpatient retail pharmacy customers during night shifts
• Utilize the PioneerRX pharmacy system extensively; EPIC experience is a plus
• Ensure accurate prescription processing, patient counseling, and medication safety throughout the shift
• Collaborate with healthcare staff as needed to support patient care overnight
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Experience working in retail pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with PioneerRX pharmacy software is required; EPIC experience highly preferred
• Availability to work full-time night shifts exclusively
• Comfortable working independently as the only pharmacist on duty during nights

Schedule:

• 7 consecutive nights on, 7 nights off, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Assignment Details:

• Contract duration of approximately 13 weeks
• Immediate start available
