Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | West Chester, Ohio

Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a hospital pharmacist in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity begins June 1st, with weekday shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including every sixth weekend coverage (with subsequent days off during the week).

Location: West Chester, OH (work at a reputable medical center in Lancaster, OH)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every sixth weekend coverage, with days off during the week

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Manage patient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness, considering patient age and condition.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Provide clear drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Participate in emergency drug therapy management and assist with medication preparation.
• Oversee pharmacy technician activities to ensure efficient departmental operations.
• Uphold organizational values such as empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited program.
• Current, valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
• Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, memory, and time management skills.
