A critical need has arisen for experienced pharmacists to join a per diem team supporting multiple retail locations across Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work with the ability to pick up additional shifts as needed. Coverage will primarily focus on areas including Sacramento, the Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California (Redding, Chico).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality pharmacy services during retail hours.
- Open and close the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all operational policies.
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
- Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software to accurately process prescriptions and maintain records.
- Commute within assigned regions and support stores as coverage requests arise, averaging 1-2 shifts per week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist licensure in California.
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience, preferably with experience opening/closing a pharmacy.
- Proven ability to manage pharmacy technicians effectively.
- Comfortable traveling within designated service areas, with mileage reimbursement available for commutes over 30 miles one way.
- Flexible availability to work per diem shifts on short notice.

- West Sacramento, CA (Primary coverage location)
- Other locations include Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California (Redding, Chico).
