Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in West Sacramento, CA

An urgent opportunity exists for experienced retail pharmacists to join a growing per diem team, providing essential support across multiple Northern California locations including West Sacramento, Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern CA regions such as Redding and Chico. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work to complement existing schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pharmacy services in a retail setting, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications and excellent customer care.
• Manage pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for prescription processing and inventory management.
• Respond to coverage requests, averaging 1-2 shifts per week, with flexibility to commute within the assigned region.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with pharmacy opening and closing protocols.
• Proven ability to manage and work effectively with pharmacy technicians.
• Comfortable commuting within and around West Sacramento and other Northern California locations.
• Familiarity with McKesson’s Enterprise system preferred.

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem schedule with shifts assigned based on coverage needs, typically 1-2 shifts per week.

Additional Perks:

• Mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way.
