Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Winamac, Indiana

A retail staff pharmacist position is available to support a community hospital-based pharmacy in Winamac, IN. This contract role requires an Indiana-licensed pharmacist with retail pharmacy experience to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and maintain patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and review technician-prepared products before dispensing
• Maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances in compliance with regulations
• Enter orders and patient information carefully using the pharmacy’s order entry system, with preference for candidates experienced with PioneerRx
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to uphold quality patient care standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Indiana pharmacist license is mandatory
• Proven retail pharmacy experience required
• Familiarity with PioneerRx software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Schedule and Location:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM coverage required
• Position based locally in Winamac, Indiana
• Business casual dress code applies

Additional Details:

• Three days of paid training and orientation are required prior to the start date on June 29th
• Contract role with ongoing coverage until a permanent pharmacist is hired
